The aim of the Microsoft Word Basic Level course is to teach the basic features of MS Word in order to create professional documents. The course teaches the participants how to create and save documents, how to edit and format documents, create tables, insert graphics and prepare the document for printing.

Unit 3: Working with Tables in Microsoft Word

  • Creating and editing a table
  • Formatting a table
  • Merge and Split Cells
  • Basic Formulas in tables

Unit 4: Working with Graphics in a document

  • Inserting Pictures
  • Editing Pictures
  • Formatting Pictures

Unit 5: Page Setup and Printing in Microsoft Word

  • Page Setup(Margins, Orientation)
  • Working with Headers and Footers

Methodology

The course is 100% practical. The topics are delivered with short presentations by the instructor followed by a  step-by-step demonstration by the instructor and repetition by the students, examples and discussions on how a feature may be used with real life examples and practice through written exercises.



Equipment
The classrooms are equiped with computers (one for each studennt) projector, Internet access, whiteboard, flipchart and printing facilities.
Each student has a step by step book.
