Project
04. Pilot application of the curricula in 3 disadvantaged groups – Testing in Cyprus & Greece and Transfer to Slovakia

Type: LLP-ERASMUS
Category: LLP Transfer of Innovation
Parent: EQLEARN- Learning for Equality and Empowerment-Learning for ALL

Period:
December 2010

Τhe aim of this workpackage is to do a pilot testing of the curricula before the transfer. Our initial objective was to develop a curriculum for improving the competences of the disadvantaged groups independently of the actual group (school leaver, inactive women, asylum seekers etc) and independently of the country. In order to ensure that the model is successful, the consortium decided to run a pilot FIRST IN CYPRUS AND GREECE. Asylum seekers will be trained in Cyprus and unemployed women in Greece. After the pilot application in Cyprus and Greece, THE CURRICULA MAY BE FURTHER ADOPTED IN ORDER TO BE TRANSFERED TO SLOVAKIA
The following activities will be implemented during this workpackage
1. Identification of 12 asylum seekers that will be trained in Cyprus
2. Implementation of the training in Cyprus- The training will be approximately 12 hours per module i.e. 96 hours
3. Evaluation of the training
4. Identification of 12 unemployed women in Greece
5. Implementation of the trainings in Greece (96 hours)
6. Evaluation of the training
7. Exchanges of experiences through telephone/email/ skype and further adaptation of the material needed.
8. Identification of 12 unemployed school leavers in Slovakia
9.Implementation of the trainings in Slovakia (96 hours)
10hree trainings are implemented in three different countries for different disadvantaged groups. Although the curricula are the same the methodological tools to be used by each country will be different and will reflect the needs and characteristics of the specific group as well as an adoptation for the actual learners in the group. This is the core of the suggested project since its success will guarantee a successful model that can be used as a total solution for the training of disadvantaged groups in Europe.

It should be noted however that the FINAL pool of methodological tools with classification by characteristics of different disadvantaged groups as well as individual learner characteristics will be ready after the implementation of the testing and the transfer. Evaluation of the trainings.
