Project: EQLEARN- Learning for Equality and Empowerment-Learning for ALL

On Thursday the 6th of October 2011, the results of the European project EQLEARN were presented to the public during a successful event that took place at the offices of MMC Management Centre Ltd in Cyprus.

EQLEARN project aims to improve the skills and competences of the disadvantaged groups with the aid of an interactive e-learning platform. The project targets the 8 key competences identified by the European Reference Framework (ERF) and its main objective is to assist and empower disadvantaged groups to access the labour market and to improve the quality of their education by incorporating ICT in lifelong learning.

The project is coordinated by a Cypriot partner, MMC Management Centre Ltd, and other project partners come from Cyprus, Slovakia, Greece and Austria.

Speakers in the event were Mrs. Christiana Knais, General Manager of MMC Ltd, Mrs. Maria Knais, General Manager of EditC Ltd, and the project partners. The event was greeted by Dr. Androula Papanastasiou, Director of the Foundation for the Management of European (EU) Lifelong Learning Programmes, who highlighted the contribution of the EQLearn Project in education and lifelong learning.

EQLEARN project has been funded with support from the European Commission.
